Gamle Mursten and GM Tech have partners in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany
For many years, Gamle Mursten has worked with stakeholders in other countries. Through the EU-funded REBRICK project, for example, it has been investigated whether Gamle Mursten’s technology can be transferred to other countries and other types and sizes of brick. It can!
Since then, many Danish bricks have been exported to both Sweden and Norway, and Gamle Mursten has also shared its knowledge and know-how with large parts of Scandinavia, where others also want to start the cycle – cleaning bricks and recycling them. Likewise, collaboration with Germany is growing, and Gamle Mursten imports and exports bricks from German demolitions, where there is an enormous supply of bricks and large quantities of uniform material can be delivered. The laboratory at Gamle Mursten Tech has been busy testing bricks for the Swedish market over the past two years in particular, and Gamle Mursten has also been a knowledge partner in this development. Norway has started testing bricks, so Norwegian bricks will soon be cleaned as well. The industry is growing and the market is growing!
