Our sister company Gamle Mursten ApS takes care of cleaning the bricks so that they are ready to be used in a new building, with a cleaning technology that ensures the optimal result.
Gamle Mursten ApS sorts and machine-cleans bricks from demolitions so that they can be reused in a new construction, thereby saving the environment the resources that would otherwise go to firing new bricks.
A patented vibration technology cleans the bricks without using water or chemicals.
Gamle Mursten ApS receives rubble for cleaning and sorted concrete from demolition and waste companies to the company’s two reception sites in Svendborg and Hedehusene.
Prices and options
The cost of cleaning bricks, palletising, storing them in a warehouse and delivering them back as CE-marked bricks for the construction project will be on a case-by-case basis, but cheaper than buying new bricks outright.
If the developer does not want the bricks returned, we will still collect them free of charge if tests on the bricks show that they are suitable for recycling.
In terms of recycling, the simple rule is that demolishers must not drive into the bricks and buildings should preferably be pre-1960 for the old bricks to be cleaned. Gamle Mursten Tech knows more about after an inspection and sampling. If it turns out that cement mortar was used instead of lime mortar for the brickwork, you will only be charged for the inspection, of course.

As a demolisher, you can work according to the following guidelines to ensure as many whole bricks as possible:
We need to receive photos of the brickwork by e-mail: mail@gamlemursten.dk.
Before sending photos: acceptance of brickwork before demolition, and photo of material before loading.
