Gamle Mursten Tech removes and quality tests bricks from condemned buildings

With Gamle Mursten Tech’s testing method, we test for pressure, frost and water absorption and find out if the bricks are suitable for recycling.
If the bricks can be pre-approved according to our CE quality requirements, the demolition tender must be drawn up so that the bricks are not destroyed.
In collaboration with our sister company Gamle Mursten ApS, we collect the bricks after demolition at no cost to the developer. Used bricks can be included in an Urban Mining agreement.
Even if you or your customer don’t want the bricks returned, there are still big environmental benefits to be gained and money and CO2 to be saved from the demolition. Gamle Mursten Tech offers a circular solution to the construction waste fraction “bricks”, where the sister company Gamle Mursten ApS upcycles the bricks. Our Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) shows that you save 0.5 kg. of CO2 per recycled brick = 1 tonne CO2 saved by recycling 2,000 bricks.
With this solution, your customers will save the costs of transport and tax at the receiving sites, which easily outweigh the costs of testing and removing the bricks.
Should your customers wish to incorporate the bricks into a new project, the bricks can be bought back as CE marked bricks with a guarantee of quality and assurance that sufficient bricks are available.
