Used bricks can be included in an Urban Mining agreement

Quality-approved used bricks that meet the requirements for a CE marking can be included in an Urban Mining agreement; here we store the cleaned and packaged CE-marked bricks at our brick hotel until the client wants them delivered on the construction site for a new construction.

Terms of an Urban Mining Agreement

We offer an Urban Mining agreement based on the terms below. A number of documents must be prepared and agreements in place:

Written agreement that Gamle Mursten Tech removes and tests bricks. The client pays the costs.
Written agreement that Gamle Mursten Tech picks up material after demolition at no cost. It is carried out on the basis of pictures or inspection of the demolished bricks (to ensure that they are neither crushed nor mixed fraction). Before this can happen, environmental screening / remediation must be carried out.
Tender text for demolition must contain conditions for gentle demolition and sorting, just as the stones must be loaded on trucks at no cost to Gamle Mursten ApS.
